The second round of Friday Women’s Pennant has been completed with Huntingdale posting a hard fought 4.5-2.5 win over Royal Melbourne at Cranbourne Golf Club. The finishing result looks clear cut but it took an amazing comeback from Ainsley Pho, who squared after being 5 down after 6, and some solid play down the last couple of holes by Roz Farrell to secure the win. Earlier in the day Kerry Henningsen, Heather Gellatly and Vivianne Kan had all played top golf and had posted strong wins to put the team in a solid position but unfortunately Helen Gubbels and Chrissy Skinner were defeated by their in form opponents. The win sees our team on top of the ladder as the only team with 2 wins with a match against Cranbourne next week at Victoria Golf Club.
