Women’s Captains and Presidents Day was scheduled to be played today, with 26 players competing on each team. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and only a handful of players were able to finish. This resulted in Marg Curry (Captain) and Glenda Smith (President) agreeing on a drawn result for this year’s event.
Of the 15 players who finished, Kate Greene was the clear standout, finishing with 44 points and 89 gross, an outstanding achievement. Also beating her handicap was Vivian Liang who finished with 37 points. In a tie for 3rd place were Mary Liang and Sophia Guo with 35 points. Winning the day’s NTPs were Maria Clarke (x2), Marianne Fox, and Rong Kwok-Xu.
Next week will see the women qualify for the Sandbelt Cup, and hopefully see better weather!
